Professional service usually means providing outsider’s perspective and expert services to solve problems faced by an organization. Professional service providers bring formal frameworks to practice and work for clients’ success.
Professional services firms in Nepal are usually associated with sector specific councils (Eg. Engineering, CA, Law), or registered with Office of Company Registrar or Small and Cottage Department. There is no specific regulatory provision applicable to all. The industry is highly fragmented and unorganized, i.e. there is no any common regulatory authority or association guiding its operations. The Government authorities and policy makers do not yet treat it as a separate industry.
