Retail and consumer goods has historically been a major part of Nepal’s economy. Small to medium retail outlets are visible throughout the country that sell consumer goods serving the daily needs of the people.

However‚ especially in the urban areas‚ retail businesses are showing signs of evolution as Nepal catch up with global business trends. The consumers are changing and the industry as a whole continues to change‚ with shoppers changing their habits and raising their expectations more than ever before.

Retailers are finding it more difficult to adjust with the change‚ as time demands implantation of value driven strategies. The modern customers just don’t want goods, they want world-class experience and services.
